Best of Office Weekly Round-Up: Cool Cubicle Designs
It’s no secret that cubicles can be the most dull, lifeless staple of office life (and in a way, adulthood). They aren’t much when you think about them, unless you have creative minds working at creative companies that look at the common cubicle and say to themselves “Screw it. Let’s go in another direction.” For this week’s roundup, we found some of these cool cubicle designs that would make anyone show up to work an hour earlier.
Talk about matching. Here we have cubicles where the wall colors match the chairs. Bonus points to the employees who wear ties to coordinate with these nice colors.
The black on lime is nice, but what about an arrangement of cubicles that looks like a Rubik’s Cube broken down like a transformer? It’s very compact, which is another of saying “new friendships whether you like it or not.”
If NASA had a corporate headquarters modeled like a regular office, this is what we imagine it would look like. Space suits are not included.
These cubicles would be more at home (or office, in this case) at Jamba Juice or another similar establishment that promotes healthy living. Imagine how cool it’d be if these cubicle’s dividers doubled as solar panels? Now that’d be another level of previously unseen sustainability.
Do these cubicles have your creative juices going? Well, how about adding a little pizazz to your office space with some of our cubicle accessories? For our UK readers, check these out! Hey, we even carry entire cubicles. Just saying.
Who isn’t a fan of floors that allow you to see your own reflection? We are, but it distracts a little from the lovely minimalist setup of the cubicles here. The shelves at the end are a nice touch, but we wonder about the fact that keeping it this pristine will become its own job.
If you’re in a collaborative team and need to power through a project nearing its deadline, we can’t think of a better cubicle setup to bring out the X-factor of your team (sorry. We couldn’t resist). It also looks like if all 4 team members wanted to, they could just lift the entire cubicle and move to a space with even more light.
Now this is an ingenious way to use cubicles in an everyday fashion while promoting a brand or company. We’re big fans of wacky forms of advertising, and for us, this one takes the cake for this week.
So remember, folks: Your cubicle can be an extension of your personality; even if you’re a temp, you can still hang up a funny drawing or something.
