Turn up the jolly music and cue the falling snow, because Christmas is almost here! For those of you who celebrate Christmas, we know it’s a hectic period- coordinating with visiting family and friends, checking off your holiday lists, organizing and re-organizing your home, and adding in final touches to your dinner menu. Sometimes other priorities may have come up, making us delay that dreaded crowded trip to the mall… (It’s OK- we don’t judge! It happens to the best of us.)
We want to help you out this busy week with these neat ideas for last minute stocking stuffers under $15! It’s been a pretty expensive holiday so far, but these mini gifts will sure give your wallet a break. Check out our list of ideas!
Gum: Gum is a great stocking stuffer for kids and teens! It’s small, sweet, and a couple of packs can even last a while. Every deli and convenience store is bound to have packs of gum, making it not hard to find either. Buy variety packs to add some color and change up the flavor.
Activity Book: Fun mini activity books can also be neat stocking stuffers! Depending on the person you’re giving it to, make sure to choose something appropriate for their age. Kids may enjoy coloring books, while older teens may like a book of crossword puzzles. Activity books also come in a bunch of sizes, so make sure it fits in your stocking!
Socks/Scarf: Okay, on a first glance, this gift idea may seem kind of unoriginal. Because it’s winter and do we really need more socks? But we’re not talking about your standard white ankle socks. Why not brighten up your toes with fun playful ones! If you’re gifting for someone older, a fun printed scarf might be the better choice.
Lip Care: Perfect for budding teens and females, lip gloss and lip balm, are nice stocking stuffers. Make sure to pick a flavor you know they’ll like otherwise they may not even use it. Stick to popular favorites like Chapstick or EOS- there’s a reason why these items are best sellers!
Skin Care: Similar to lip care items, females would appreciate a facial sheet mask or even lotion as a stocking stuffer! Purchase a small quantity or bottle to minimize the cost and make room for other stocking goodies.
Selfie Stick: In a world where #SelfieSunday exists, give the gift of selfie perfection. Selfie sticks have become increasing popular over this past year, so when’s a better time to get it then now? Choose from a variety of styles to match your giftee.
Gift Cards: It’s simple, quick, and the gift that keeps on giving. Gift cards let the person chose something they know they’ll definitely like. Make sure to choose a store you’re positive they like shopping at! The amount is up to you.
Office Supplies: Office supplies are small and you can choose from a variety of items they need. Try a pencil/eraser set, small notebooks/planner, mini travel packs of hand sanitizer, and/or even colorful Post-Its notes! Plus, getting loved ones office supplies mean you know they are getting something useful!
Chocolate: Who doesn’t love chocolate? The more difficult part is stopping yourself from finishing the box! Throw in some tasty bars and you’ll be rewarded with smiles all around.
Scented Candle: For scent lovers, scented candles might be a neat choice. Chose candles from festive holiday smells to classic calming scents like lavender. Candles also last a while, so you can be sure your scent will linger on through the holidays!
Phone/Tablet Case: With people upgrading to a new phone each and every time another one comes out, it’s a great idea to upgrade their case too! Cases come in different styles and colors, so it may be tricky to buy something for a picky giftee. In those circumstances, it may be easy to purchase something single-colored or a gift card so they can choose their own (see above). Otherwise, your creativity’s the limit!
Fun and Random: We’ve all seen those funny gag stores in the mall. They often sell the most random and (possibly useless) gadgets and toys we don’t think we need until we find them! Throw in some of these random silly gifts for an unexpected surprise!
Did we miss anything? Let us know what you’re planning to buy this Christmas!
