  51. Just Kelly says:

I would place it in the Production Room here at Lakeside Middle School. All the teachers come in and out of that room through out the day to use the copier, Riso, electric hole punch and electric stapler. What better tool to have than an X-acto Electric Pencil Sharpener also. This would make their day. Shopping at Shop.let has everything we need and always has something we can win or get a rebate on. Keep up the great work.

  52. flutterby372 says:

As a disabled Mom with RSD/CRPS, an 11 year old daughter with an LD in math and a very energetic 4 year old son who will be starting Kindergarten this coming school year (and still has to learn how to write his letters and numbers) the sharpener is likely to “float” around the house, being kept wherever its being used at the time.

  53. Patricia Walton says:

I am a first grade teacher who is desperately in need of a sharpener which can handle a tremendous workout on a daily basis. We’ve gone through several sharpeners and my current one is so noisy that I can barely stand it. A new X-Acto sharpener will fit the bill.

  54. DIANNE HOY says:

Recently celebrated my 30th year of work in a church office. We are currently sharing our facilities with a 2nd year Christian school. This sharpener would be awesome to be shared by both groups.

  55. Tina Robillard says:

I would put my new sharpener in the area near the table where my 3 children do their homework and constantly need sharpened pencils. This area is also close to my office as I work at home and also need good sharpened colored pencils.

  56. Bobby Floyd says:

My wife is a 4th grade math teacher in a public school and we are constantly going through pencil sharpeners. She has multiple classes each day and her pencil sharpeners get a workout! If I was to win this for her, it would go front and center in her classroom for all her students to use.

  57. Karen says:

I would love to win one of these fantastic electric pencil sharpeners! I would put it in the mailroom of my office building because there is never a sharp pencil in there when I need one! You don’t know how happy it would make me to have a sharpener close by!
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon to let me know which model I have won!!

  58. Nancy A. Scott says:

I have an x-acto @ home, I would put this one at the church. Love the shoplet.com website!

  59. Antoinette Garry says:

Having 7 kids who always need sharp pencils this would be great!

  60. C Piper says:

I teach first and second grades and our class would really appreciate a quality pencil sharpener. I have purchased several electric sharpeners in the past for the classroom and they’re quite a time saver.

  61. Brenda Maddox says:

Will have right on my desk where I do a lot of ordering from Shoplet

  62. Brenda Maddox says:

Would put the Xacto pencil sharpener right next to my desk in my office where I do a lot of shopping on Shoplet

  63. Dee says:

Would like to have an Xacto pencil sharpener which woul be located near the pens and pencils
    in the hospital volunteer office.

  64. Kim Driver says:

I really could use a pencil sharpener in my sp. ed. classroom. :) My students would definitely benefit from having one.

  65. Heather says:

I would put one of these pencil sharpeners on the shelves right next to my desk, so students could access it easily.

  66. bill scala says:

I would put it in the factory where it would get the most usage.

  67. Cindy Reyes says:

I love pencil sharpeners, such great classroom helpers!

  68. Cheyenne says:

be so great to have this and i would review it on my you tube channel and my blog and tell everyone shoplet gave it to me! I would tell everyone to go to shoplet website because i love this website plus a pencil sharpener would come in VERY handy

  69. brian says:

    very cool!

  70. E Martin says:

I’d put it on a shelf directly beside my desk

  71. Danielle says:

We are a newer business getting ready to move into a larger office space, so this would be a great addition to our new space. Thanks!

  77. Chris Johnston says:

My wife would love to win one of these pencil sharpeners for her pre-school class. She cannot find a good pencil sharpener at a reasonable price.

    Thanks for the entry,

    Chris Johnston

  78. Michelle B. says:

I am still dreaming about having a new heavy duty Xacto sharpener in my classroom. Oh how the days will run so smoothly, especially with state testing around the corner. :)

  79. Michelle B. says:

I don’t have facebook, twitter, etc. but I will email all my friends and tell them about the awesome xacto sharpeners.

  80. Michelle B. says:

I am really excited to have a chance to win one of these awesome sharpeners. In my 5th grade classroom of 34, my pencil sharpener never makes it to the end of the year. It would be nice to have a heavy duty sharpener I can rely on. It would also save me some money I desperately need for other classroom materials. I will keep my fingers crossed.

  81. Mary R says:

I work for a community college and having an automatic pencil sharpener would be a wonderful time saver! I would put it right next to my electric stapler! We are under budget constraints and this would be a great help.

  82. Xavier Gonzalez says:

In this modern day and age, hardly anyone in this office uses the good old fashion pencil. Consequently, there are no pencil sharpeners!! I have a little pocket one that I use. Need a nice electrical gizzmo!!

  83. Trish Walsh says:

I work in a busy law office and would put the pencil sharpener in our copy room for all to use.

  84. Nancy Terrill says:

I would love to have my own sharpener in the CCD class I teach. Sharpening these currently with a small hand sharpener and of course when one child needs their pencil sharpened they all need theirs sharpened.

  85. Lisa says:

I work in an office and the only pencil sharpener we have is the old manual “school” type sharpener. It is mounted in the window sill right beside my desk. When I am on the phone and someone decides to sharpen a pencil, it is noisy and makes it hard to hear. I would love to be able to put this pencil sharpener in our spare room so people can sharpen their pencils without bothering anyone.

  86. mel says:

in my office, on my desk

  88. Jenny Hollars says:

I liked Shoplet and Xacto on Facebook, and I shared the giveaway post on Facebook!

  89. Kathy Felt says:

I would use this sharpener in my classroom. I am an 8th grade math teacher and sharp pencils make sharp work! Our school supplied classroom pencil sharpeners are worthless!

  90. William Fraunfelder says:

I’d keep it on my desk, right next to the small forest of pencils I use all day!

  91. Debbie Grauel says:

I would have it on my counter to use so customers could see the benifit of owning an X-ACTO pencil sharpener. I sell them in my store and they are a great product.

  92. Sandra says:

I would put my new pencil sharpener on the central room table here at the History Center, so all the employees and volunteers can sharpen their pencils. We have a museum and genealogy library and are a non-profit organization so we do not have funds to purchase any items not considered necessary.

  93. Jenny Hollars says:

I teach 2nd grade, and we really need a new pencil sharpener! I normally have to spend $50 to buy one myself, so this would be awesome to win! It would save me some money and would help my students get prepared for the day more quickly. I would put the pencil sharpener in my classroom on the front table with our good/bad pencil cups. Thanks!

  94. Charlie Giudice says:

i would have my new pencil sharpener by my phone so that i could always drive home the point when making a business deal in my office.

  95. Michelle Premuto says:

This would be great for our chuch…we use pencils in our pews and they are always looking for a pencil sharpener!!! They end up coming in my office and sharpen 50 pencils at a time!

  96. Mary Lou says:

I would put this pencil sharpener on my new desk for my new home office

  104. Betty Baez says:

i would love to put one on my sons homework desk

  105. Diana L says:

Parent volunteers would take the sharpener to each class that is doing an art lesson for the school’s Art Academy program. When not in the classroom, our PTA volunteers can sharpen the pencils in our art supply. We have room parent volunteers too so they can check out the sharpener to help their teachers sharpen pencils quickly. This sharpener will get a lot of mileage at our school!

  106. Jayne Hollensbe says:

I would love to have these for my classroom. My kids are always breaking their pencils and our school sharpener never seems to work very well.

  107. Angela Hobbs says:

I would first need to remove my 2 other broken sharpeners. Working as an Art teacher, I need lots of pencils sharpened! The location of this shapener is easy: I would put it to the right of my fine and unltra fine sharpie bin and to the left of my sharpen and unsharpen containers for drawing pencils and in front of my Clorox wipes. Overall, I think it is a very sucessful placement!

I would put my pencil sharpener on the table by the mail scale, hole punch and other shared office things so that everyone in the office could use it.

  117. Janette Young says:

I would replace the sharpener in my 3rd grade classroom that sometimes work. We could use one that works all the time! It would go on the counter, in front of the poster that shows the minimum size pencil that can be sharpened (I taped a pencil that size onto the posters so kids use that as a size guide).

  118. Heather says:

This would be a great addition to my third grade classroom. I would put it in an area that the students would be able to use it throughout the day. Right now the kids are using hand held sharpeners.

  119. Cynthia says:

I would put it on the counter next to the two barely working electric sharpeners at the back of the room. (Of course they aren’t E-xacto sharpeners.)

  120. Sara Barend says:

I would put this in my 3rd grade classroom!! We are in desperate need of a sharpener that will last… A 10 yr. warranty would help for sure!! Thank you!

  121. Diana L says:

We would bring the sharpener to every Art Academy session. Our parent volunteers can use it to help prep our art supplies. Our room parent volunteers can use it to help teachers prep classroom supplies too! We’ll get lots of mileage out of the sharpener!

  122. Ginger B says:

I am the only art teacher for a small school system. I teach visual art and graphic design at the high school level in the mornings, then it’s off to the elementary school to teach four elementary classes each day. The elementary levels rotate daily over a week’s time. End result is 19 elementary classes and two upper level HS classes every week. Needless to say, maintaining two classrooms and servicing hundreds of students takes its toll on supplies and equipment. I’ve gone through two manuel and two electric sharpeners this year alone. If I were lucky enough to receive a sharpener, I would most likely place it in the elementary classroom, where it would be used the most.

  123. Jodi Clayton says:

Will put sharper on kids desk

  124. Scott says:

I’d put them on my supply counter – I love my older x-acto sharpeners and my art helpers love sharpening the pencils with them! I even bought one to put by my easel at home.

  125. Danielle says:

I’ve signed in to follow, like & subscribe to both X-ACTO & Shoplet on everything!
I would love this really cool pencil sharpener for my No. 2 Pencils & all of my colored pencils that I use & will make it’s new home right dab in the back-center of my desk in my office at work. I know everyone will be flocking to my desk since no-one has one like it to use!

  126. Betty says:

I would put a sharperner in the back of my room on the counter. It really is the only open space that is first grade level. :)

I would put it on my daughters desk!

  163. amy rouse says:

put your new pencil sharpener —

on my husbands desk. he runs a construction consulting company and uses pencils exclusively. He hates pens. So he’s constantly getting up and going over to sharpen his pencil with and “old school” sharpener.

  164. Jennifer Mason says:

I would place this on our pencil sharpening desk. My last sharpener is on my desk just in case no one breaks it. This sharpener, like my others, would have its price on it also…FREE!!! I mark the price of the sharpener right on it with a permanant marker so they appreciate the value of a dollar! I would love to see their faces with the word “Free” written on the sharpener. They would be so excited!

I would use this in my home where I have my computer and supplies. I could really use a good pencil sharpener. Thanks for the chance

  260. universewalk says:

Wow, those are some handsome sharpeners! I really like the Principle and Performance models that offer the variable openings, since there are so many different sizes of pencils now, AND the x-large receptacle.

I have taught art, nutrition, and gardening to elementary students. I’m jumping on to help in a middle school that is encouraging a garden classroom as a volunteer, and looking forward to one day working there, helping the sustainability lead.

Since mechanical pencils were outlawed this year, I would put this where any student could access it from our gardening area, which most likely at the nearby shelf where the gardening supplies are kept so the students can be ready for taking notes at any time. When school isn’t in session over the summer, the sharpener will be located at home for my artist child, in the “creativity” are of the living room, likely keeping the X-ACTO blade sharpener company.

  261. Cindi Holt says:

I subscribe to this blog via email and would share this X Acto Sharpener with the class I taught before my stroke.

  262. Cindi Holt says:

I taught school for 26 years but was forced to retire in 2008 due to a stroke. I still miss my babies every day. If I were to win this pencil sharpener, I would donate it to the class I once taught. It would give me a chance to see the students and get to spend some wonderful time with them. Being with them for a short time would thrill me more than anything. I know they would enjoy it and the new teacher would appreciate you for sharing such a nice gift, as this pencil sharpener, with her class.

  263. Tresha says:

My first graders and I would love to be able to have the chance to brag on our new x-acto pencil sharpener! We would put it on the counter by the door. Every morning I pick one student, who made great choices the day before, to sharpen the pencils that are in the “flat” cup. The first student at each table gathers the pencils for his/her team members at their table and they go sharpen them. We go through at least 3 pencil sharpeners a year! We would love to take the X-ACTO for a test drive! Thank you for giving this chance to your customers.

  288. Judy says:

I think my students go through pencil sharpeners as fast as they go through pencils. Please help us keep our pencils sharpened! It would be great to have a sharpener right in the center of the table were the students get the academic support they need.

  289. Monica hiatt says:

Would put it in my classroom. The pencil sharpener that is in my room now is being held together with rubber bands

  290. Kim Hoffman says:

I teach high school math. If there is ever a classroom that need an electric sharpener, it’s mine. When they get it, their pencils always need to be sharpened.

  291. Martina Kull says:

I would love to put this pencil sharpener on my desk. Always walk to the front of the room to sharpen pencils and you know Kindergarteners wait for you to go back to your desk to ask you to sharpen another pencil..lol..

  292. Annie Groves says:

If I received a free pencil sharpener I’d be thrilled. My students have already broken one and being a special education teacher there are more important things to spend your money on than pencil sharpeners.

  293. Kari Lockwood says:

I would put it in my 4/5 classroom to replace the super old hand-crank sharpener that keeps eating the kids’ pencils! :)

  294. Laura Dreher says:

I’d so use this in my classroom. We don’t even have those old fashioned ones that screw to the wall. When I need a good sharpener, I have to go downstairs to use the office one. Otherwise, I use the little handheld one. So slow.

I would place this sharpener on the short file cabinet right inside my fourth grade classroom door–in place of the two sharpeners that have already broken this school year!
