When I found this recipe I fell in love with it and make it every year for the holidays. My family says that they know that it is Christmas time when they see me making these in the kitchen.

An easy Thanksgiving treat for kids of all ages!

    All you need is:
    Chocolate striped shortbread cookies
    Ferrero Rocher candies
    Candy corn
    Chocolate frosting

Use one cookie for the base and the other one for the “feathers.” The hazelnut candy is the body of the turkey and is “glued” with frosting to the base and the “feathers.” The wattle is the candy corn.

Easy to make and fun to eat!

    Sour Cream Pumpkin Bundt Cake

    Ingredients

    STREUSEL
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    2 teaspoons butter or margarine
    CAKE
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
    4 large eggs
    1 cup LIBBY’S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 container (8 oz.) sour cream
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    GLAZE (recipe below)

    Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan.

    FOR STREUSEL:
COMBINE brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice in small bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is crumbly.

    FOR BATTER:
COMBINE flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Beat granulated sugar and butter in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pumpkin, sour cream and vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

    TO ASSEMBLE:
SPOON half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle Streusel over batter, not allowing Streusel to touch sides of pan. Top with remaining batter. Make sure batter layer touches edges of pan.

BAKE for 55 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool for 30 minutes in pan on wire rack. Invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with Glaze.

    FOR GLAZE:
COMBINE 1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar and 2 to 3 tablespoons orange juice or milk in small bowl; stir until smooth.

I like my breakfast casserole that I fix for breakfast each holiday.

2 lbs sausage, 8 eggs, 3 cups milk, grated cheese, 3/4 package unthawed hashbrowns.

Lay hashbrowns in large baking dish. Salt and pepper. Cook sausage into little bits. Drain and pour over potatoes. Mix eggs and milk. Pour on top. Add cheese. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Check the center for doneness before removing from oven. I have even microwaved it at the end for 2-3 minutes to firm up center if necessary. Yum. You can add onion and/or garlic to potatoes for a bigger flavor.

I make a banana thing. I’m not sure of the name but my Mom always made it until I learned how. It’s funny I still don’t know the name…

    2 Pkg Cream Cheese
    1 bin Whipped Cream
    1 Lg Pkg vanilla pudding
    1 Lg Banana Pudding
    Graham cracker crumbs
    Butter
    Freshly sliced bananas (full bushel?)
    Milk
    Sugar

I’ve never really paid to close attention to amounts of things. I usually just do a taste as I go with toothpicks I keep near the counter top and it works out :D

Mix melted butter and graham cracker crumbs slowly together, enough to form a crust to cover a large cake pan. Line the pan, using a spoon to even it out. Fridge.

Mix vanilla pudding with 1 cup milk and the cream cheese, and sugar, about 1/2-to 1/4 cup. Cover the crust with it.

Lay sliced bananas over the previous mixture.

Mix banana pudding, 1 cup milk, whipped cream and cover the bananas.

Keep in the fridge. Its usually best to serve the same day as the bananas begin to turn colors.

    Enjoy!
