Two iPoint Electric Sharpeners to win!

Our weekly giveaway for this week is sponsored by Westcott! We are giving away TWO iPoint Office Desktop Electric Pencil Sharpeners. I’ve seen these things in person and seen how they work and they are pretty cool. A few months ago, Lisa from Lisa’s Reviews reviewed the iPoint Sharpener and here’s a little video of the sharpener in action:

“Your days of holding pencils in the sharpener are over. Compact, contemporary design offers hands-free operation. Auto-feed and self-sharpening – simply place the pencil in the sharpener and let it go. Automatically ejects the pencil at the perfect point; prevents oversharpening. Titanium blades stay sharper 3x longer. EZ view shavings receptacle lets you know when the iPoint needs emptying. Accepts standard-size pencils.”

Here’s how to win one:

Find a picture of your current sharpener (or something close to it) on the internet and comment on this post with the link! (I have one that looks like this –

I’m still old school, the silly hand held sharpener that you must use over a trash can or deal with shavings everywhere!! Would love to upgrade to the modern world of the iPoint from Shoplet – best prices around.

The old Bostich still works, but not so well. I really need a replacement. I love the new ipoint sharpeners. Sharp appearance and sharp blades make this a winner.

I still have this pencil sharpener. (Bostich Model 1800beige).
My most infamous memory with this sharpener was when I was sharpening two number 2 pencils for my daughter’s SAT tests on a Friday night before her Saturday testing. After I sharpened the pencils, I pulled out the little shavings tray to take it and empty it and fell over something in the floor and dislocated my left elbow. The bone came out of the socket and went probably 8 inches back up my arm. That Xray was the talk of the ER for the entire weekend I was told. It was remarkable, but my arm was awful. I had an ambulance ride that evening because I was hurting so bad I would not let my husband move my arm. It took months for me to regain being able to stretch my arm out flat again. So, beware!

You don’t have to beware when ordering from Shoplet! They have been fast in delivery and accurate for every order I have placed. I highly recommend them!

Oh, I forgot to say that my husband uses his pocket knife to sharpen his pencil. Then my young children see that and want to do that as well. Ugh! My parents have the old original kind bolted to the wall that you turn by hand and keep a garbage can underneath, and it is by far the best one I’ve ever used.

  15. Kirsten says:

Here is ours…actually my daughter’s but she “lets” us all use it. :)

  16. Heather G. says:

Our sharpener looks like this one but without the lovely wood grain panel. It’s terrible! It sharpens but also breaks the graphite inside the pencil so that as soon as you go to write the graphite falls out. Very frustrating!

I have to say this has been one of the best shopping experiences. They are not limited to quantity. I ordered 1. I got it the very next day. Needed to return it, I miss ordered. Did so and it was again shipped next day. I like that no matter one or 50 you are treated as a valued commodity. Thanks, I will be putting your name forward everytime…..
