I’ve been using my old stapler for years, so I really don’t know what the new staplers are like. On my stapler sometimes the staples don’t go thru and I have to keep trying

  • We are using several old versions of the Swingline. My favorite is very heavy (feels like it weighs about 3 pounds and always works, never messes up even on the last staple. It’s amazing. We have lighter versions of the Swingline stapler and they are almost as good. I just prefer the heavier one. Has more ka-chunk power than the rest.

My stapler is a no name product. It jams regularly so its not a favorite of mine at all.

  • My current stapler is a very old Bostitch that is silver, has like a big button on the top that you slap or press to staple with. It’s been good but sure could use a NEW Bostitch.

  • I’ve posted on Facebook ^^ Thank you for the chances!

  • I follow your blog by both RSS and email (I’m afraid to miss something great lol)

  • I’m currently using a work provided Viking stapler that has much tape residue on it. :/ Not very attractive but it does work. :)

  • Andrew

The stapler I’m using now gets jammed whenever the staples get low, and can’t hold many staples.

  • Beth B

I don’t have a stapler, and have a limited amount of paperclips. Where do paperclips go when you lose them? Is it where socks go when you put them in the dryer and one goes missing?

  • Rod

I have a very special stapler. My father, who is deceased, worked at International Harvester, when he retired he brought home his swingline stapler with the I-H engraved in it. But, sorry to say thing have changed, the current modern day staples, do not punch through paper well and it has become somewhat of a paperweight.

  • Donna

Could REALLY use some NEW office products. Everything seems to break down at once. And the Apple IPOD Touch wouldn’t hurt my feelings either! Love your site!

  • I’m currently with a sleek little number I call Swing. He’s easy to hold and wears rubber for easy gripping. I’d say he’s about 4″ tall, fairly old, but he’s still good for small jobs. Unfortunately he can’t handle more than 4 sheets and starts to bend the wrong way about 2/3 through a strip. Not only that, he can only hold half what a normal model can. Now that I think about it, this is a pretty poor relationship. You said his name was Stanley?

  • Shannen

I have a Bostitch and I LOVE it!!! Never jams, which makes my life so much easier….

  • John

Love shopping at Shoplet.com. Using an arrow thats worthless.

  • Donna Willingham

I use a swingline now, but I use a bostich at work and I love it.

  • I use an old, heavy Swingline desk stapler that I inherited with this job. Since I pick up my stapler to staple, this can be a real pain – in more than one way, as I have dropped it many times while stapling.

i like the Stanley Bostitch Electric Stapler with Anti-Jam Mechanism on Shoplet, because you can staple 20 sheets together at once. that’s handy!

  • elizabeth s.

the stapler i’m currently using is a really generic one…in fact it has no writing (branding) on it other than the bottom where it says “MADE IN TAIWAN”! i like it because it gets the job done, but these sound incredible!

  • Pam

I am using a PaperPro. But has limited capability in the work I do. Would love to try the Bostitch.

  • Bo Bennett

I currently use swingline stapler (that’s probably 20 yrs old…or at least it looks like it). It does the job. However, my electric pencil sharpner has seen better days and is on it’s way out.

  • Our office uses a Swingline 39005. It jams about every other time we use it! A new one would be awesome!

  • kathleen talbot

My last 6 staplers have been freebies from drug reps (I work in a doctor’s office). I am very grateful for the free staplers, but they usually break after 2 months. I have used an electric stapler , a name brand, swingline?, and I loved it. Unfortunately I bought it for a Christmas present for our office secretary, and she took it home with her when she resigned. Kathleen Talbot MD

  • Need a decent stapler that can handle a rough environment and go throughmore than 20 sheets. Pleaseeeeee Help me…

  • carol

I am a teacher, and I go through staplers and pencil sharpeners like they are popcorn!I think I spent $80 on a sharpener last year.It does still work, but it is starting to make noise, so that is the beginning of the end!

  • Rhonda

It sure would be nice to have the Stanley Bostitch 00540 AntiJam Extra Heavy-Duty Stapler;215 sheets!

    Yea!

  • Rhonda

4 different ones I use depending on task…
    – Acco single stapler
    – Swingline 3 hole punch
    – mini/portable (works awful)
    – 12″ long reach Swingline.

  • I’m using a fairly new Swingline 747. I have to give it a good whack about every 3rd staple to make them slide to the front. It’s very aggravating and distracting. Can’t get any work done,

Mine is a swingliner, only a couple years old but works like it is 20 years old.

  • I am the secretary at my church, and I make all of the weekly bulletins and programs for Sunday Service. How about this one:
To make sure the staples do what they are suppose to do when they come out of my old stapler, I use a small claw hammer and pound them down til they bend. My arms look like “Arnold”…lol!

  • Deneene

    Nice line of products.

  • Jackie S

I’ve had a Stanley Bostitch electric stapler model B8E since I first started working at my present job – 7 years. It always works & is very reliable. I get so used to using it every day that when I’m home & doing my personal paperwork, I miss my Stanley!

  • Marcy F

I have two old Swingline staplers that have been fairly good performers, except that they jam quite a bit. It’s very frustrating when jams happen as they are very difficult to clear out. Sometimes leaves me without use of the stapler for the rest of the day. Other than that, they are great for holding up piles of bills next to my office calulator as the metal staplers are quite heavy!

  • Lisa S

I have several interesting (?) staplers in the office: a Bostitch B8S saddle stapler (with its original green box!) and a maroon stapler I inherited from the Nodaway County Courthouse Annex which has never been claimed (I think it was left here during the Fair or during voting.

We just opened a new office in San Antonio. I sent the new employee a care package of our old and left over supplies. I would love to have given her this!

  • Wendy

I’m using a Swingline stapler right now and it doesn’t have a very smooth stapling action. I would love to try the Stanley Bostitch!

  • Gene

i am using a no-name, no frills, stapler that only holds about 20 staples and has to be on a hard, flat surface to drive the staple through even a single piece of paper. Ugh!

  • Jen

The stapler I’m using now is a Swingline. I like that it is compact for my small hands & has a rubber on the top and bottom to make it more comfortable. I’ve used the Bostich products before and have been very happy with them.

  • Patricia Henderson

We use the old fashioned heavy Swingline staplers at work. I do love that they are made of metal and sturdy enough not to break. But they always seem to jam, and can’t go through thick stacks of paper.

  • Michelle Gardner

    I don’t have a stapler or a pencil sharpener!

  • Amy

I’m currently using a Swingline PowerEase stapler. It lives up to its name, it is fairly easy to staple large packets of paper with it, however, it sounds like I am using a nail gun in my office. I’ve even had co-workers come into my office and ask “What was that?!” after I had used my stapler.

  • Cynthia

I’m using a tiny purple stapler with purple staples. The problem, it runs out of staples too fast.
