I reduce my carbon footprint by recycling aluminum and metal, reusing anything that I can, and walking instead of driving when I can.

    • That’s great! Saving on gas and getting exercise at the same time does good for you and the environment. Good job!

I am always looking for ways to reduce my carbon footprint at work and at home. At work I have gone almost completely paperless with documents and have encouraged others to do the same. I always am picking things out of the trash bins and placing in appropriate recycle bins. The changes need to happen now for our children to not live in a world of trash!!

    • Small steps definitely go a long way! These are great ways to head in the right direction.

How?…OK… I don’t even use paper much anymore! I call it my personal “save trees” project!
Plastic bags go back to the store to get recycled! I refill my bpa free bottle and not waste buy ying water is millions of plastic bottles! When I have to (like when I’m traveling)…they are recycled! Aluminum. metal, cardboard are all recycled formally or I personally Re-use and make things out of them!
    NOTHING goes to waste!
Also…I always encourage others to do the same!
I have been researching earth homes! That is a cool goal!
one day we will realize that we can recycle & have more energy/electricity than we know what to do with!
    I enjoy doing my part!
I would love to bag to even further my point! The one main reason people don’t recycle is because they just don’t know!
    I want to help that!

My hubby and I recycle everything we can (plastic, cardboard/paper, metal). We compost any organic waste we have or that I bring home from the store I work at. We have started growing veggies and are learning to can them. On top of all that every light bulb in our house is either CFL or LED.

We do little things each day to try and reduce waste and make the world a better place without our leaving a huge carbon foot print. We recycle,re use everything we can and our daughter’s birthday is Earth Day (April 22nd) so we always plant a tree that day and have for the last several years. Each small thing we do can make big differences.
