It’s time to Protect Planet Home. This week’s green giveaway is sponsored by Seventh Generation! Check out their latest commercial (great music, cute planet home, great cause)

We want to help Seventh Generation spread the word about using cleaning supplies that are safe for the home and just as effective. Here are  ten reasons to switch to Seventh Generation Cleaning Products:

  1. Because who wants to put an organic tomato on a cutting board cleaned with chemicals?
  2. Because natural ingredients are safer for all kinds of environments, inside and outside.
  3. Because you won’t have to open the windows when you clean the bathtub or anything else.
  4. Because now your kids can help with the housework.
  5. Because Mother Nature always does it better. (She’s been getting it clean and keeping it real for millions of years.)
  6. Because Seventh Generation gives 10% of its profits to organizations that help women and families, and that promote sustainability.
  7. Because when you use them to clean, you won’t wind up making an environmental mess.
  8. Because grease, grime, dirt, and dust quiver in fear when they see Seventh Generation products coming.
  9. Because from price to performance, they’re the equal of conventional cleaners. Just without all those unpronounceable ingredients.

I have no favorite all-natural cleaning solutions thats why I need to win this ;)

  2. Kayte CookWatts says:

I love Seventh Gen dishwasher soap. I also like sprinkling baking soda on top of the all purpose cleaner for a great scrub. I am @kayte71 on twitter.

  3. Lisa C says:

I just heard more about using vinegar & water to clean with, so I’m going to try it. A method that I actually use is ice & salt to clean out coffee pots. It really works!

  4. Deb Anderson says:

I follow on twitter AND get your email! I too love Seventh Generation products, especially the bathroom cleaning products which the commercial ones can be so harsh and harmful to the environment.

  5. Katmagick says:

I’m using vinegar and water with a drop or two of lemon essential oil for cleaning a lot of things. I actually started using this many years ago when nobody was being “green”.It works great on so many things, especially getting rid of soap scum on the shower doors.

  6. Mark S says:

Because I just became a grandfather and want my grandchildren to have a healthy earth and environment to enjoy and growup in.
    Happy Earth Day!!!

  7. carol says:

I use the 7th Generation Laundry detergent on grandsons clothes..There is no film or residue on the washing machine walls and I like that it doesn’t have an over powering odor about it..

I have not tried the other seventh products (yet) but believe that if they are as good as the laundry detergent then it will be fun to try them..

I have chemical sensitivity and in the process of trying different cleansers..For me to win would be a great opportunity..

  8. Malcolm says:

It’s great that people are starting to be environmentally conscience, but this should have started decades ago. There only seems to be an interest in something when the corporations can profit from it. Hopefully this will not just be a fad that will go away soon.

  9. Molly says:

My favorite natural cleaning products include green works and using baking soda to clean! I would love to try seventh generation though.

  10. Marilyn W says:

I have so wanted to try Seventh Generation for the longest but my husband is jaded by other all-natural products I tried that didn’t do so well! If I win this I can win him over to the earth-friendly side! ;)

  11. Fanny Tirado says:

  16. Carlee O. says:

I received an email from shoplet.com with Earth Day cleaning specials. One, Seventh Generation All Purpose Cleaner, was advertised as a “price drop”: “was $59.00. Save $55.91 (93.49%, $3.89 per case”. That’s $3.89 per CASE. I ordered 2 cases and received 2 bottles at $3.89 per bottle. I called, forwarded the e-newsletter and a link to the page, http://gsa.shoplet.com/Seventh-generation-All-purp-Clnr-Free-And-Clear-8-32-Oz/SEV22719/spdv . I was told it was a mistake and that they would not sell it to me at the advertised price. The sales person got rather snippy. So, that’s my experience. Don’t believe any sales info they send you.

  17. Carlee O. says:

I was contacted today by a very nice customer service person at Shoplet.com who apologized for the miscommunication and said the sale price (see my above comment) will be honored. It pays to be persistent and to get ahold of the right person to help with problems. Thanks Shoplet.com!

  18. Jean Swanson says:

Could use some all natural cleaning products and maybe find something that I really like and would continue to use.
