Dry your laundry – naturally.

Seventh Generation has been teaming up with Project Laundry List for a little while now with their promotion The Laundry Revolution. What are they advocating? That we should stop using those ridiculous dryers and hang up our clothes to dry! Easier said than done, right?

I’ll be honest: I live in the city. I don’t have a yard, a fire escape, or even a windowsill. That’s why I like that they promote line drying (inside or outside – preferably outside) and drying on garment racks! Those garment racks are pretty cool and they won’t mess up that nice silk dress like your dryer would.

Want to see who’s drying their laundry the natural way? Check out the Clotheslines Across America Map (there are people in italy and china that are participating too!)

Growing up, we didn’t really use garment racks but we did have these nice shelves we would lay some of our clothes on to dry. (no creases or wrinkles!) Try these Quartet Wall Shelf Racks

I use this clothes drying rack for all my clothes drying. I love that I can move it to where it is most convenient for me.

It saves my money and it is the right thing to do for the environment!

  • This is a great idea! I personally love the stiff feeling and fresh smell of line dried clothes.
