Cardboard is Improving Lives by Jessica Hodges
One of my friend’s emailed me after seeing my post about Karton’s Cardboard Furniture and told me about an organization called Adaptive Design. They use cardboard to create items that improve the lives of people who have disabilities. The video below is a great overview of how the program was started and a few of the many people they have helped.
You can take courses in Cardboard Carpentry, visit their main office or have them come to your school, and they even have a cardboard camp for kids! Learn more about Adaptive Design on their website.
It’s amazing to see an organization that has created a low-cost solution to improving lives. If you know of another organization like this, will you email me? (it should be somewhat school/office related for me to post about it)
