best new office space – the wtc by Jessica Hodges
Those that live in New York and especially those who live/work in the Financial District are very familiar with the construction pictured above. It’s crazy to think about the amount of space that’s been blocked off, empty, and under construction for 9 years. Last week was the memorial of 9/11 and it was exciting to see progress and look forward to the future while we remember the past. Two of the WTC towers are above ground and the memorial is scheduled to open next year! With all these beautiful new buildings, comes lots of amazing office space.
One World Trade Center (aka the Freedom Tower, the building farthest to left in this picture) has already signed on Conde Nast which will occupy around 1 million square feet of the building. Other facts > New York’s tallest skyscraper, antenna mast rises to 1,776 feet. 2.6 million square feet Class A office space. Public observation deck on 100th and 101st Floors. Second World Trade Center – The 79-story tower will contain 60 office floors, including a sky lobby, that total 2.8 million rentable square feet, a 67-foot-high office lobby, and five levels of retail. Read More on WTC
Third World Trade Center – 3 World Trade Center at 175 Greenwich Street will sit at the center of the various buildings around the WTC Memorial site and rise to a height of 1,140 feet.
Four World Trade Center – The 64-story tower’s first five floors will house 140,000 square feet of retail space, and the remaining 56 floors will be filled with offices, totalling 2.3 million square feet. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the City of New York will occupy two-thirds of the office space
