Time to Buy Golf Pencils by Jessica Hodges
One of our best selling items is golf pencils? Golf pencils really? Yes. Now it’s actually the season to buy golf pencils. I’m not a huge golf fan or player but I did enjoy going to the driving range with my dad growing up and I do admire the amount of skill it takes to swing that club just right.
Plus, as I learned in college, golf is a big thing in the business world. I guess you can still look very professional and have a little meeting while playing golf rather than putting on some sweaty gym clothes and beating each other up with a soccer ball.
For those golf amateurs or wannabes out there, here’s how to score your golf card:
The simplest way to mark the scorecard is very simple indeed: When playing stroke play, count the number of strokes you’ve taken on the hole just completed, and write that number down in the box corresponding to that hole on the scorecard. At the end of each nine holes, tally up the strokes for your front nine and back nine totals, respectively, then add up those two numbers for your 18-hole score.
That sounds pretty easy right? Let’s stop there. If you want to make scoring harder and well, more accurate, visit About.com for the rest of their tips.
